From Pre-Production, Production, to Post-Production. I can help walk you through the process of coming up with a video idea, filming it, and editing a professional video. If you have a business, organization, non-profit, or just an idea, you need a video to share your stories with the rest of the world. As a video generalist with many years of experience, I have the ability to light, film, record audio, direct (experienced talent or non-talent), edit, and color correct.

Cinematography is my number-one favorite part of video and film production. If you already have a director and editor, but need someone who can light and film, I’m happy to help! I pride myself in close collaboration with producers and directors to ensure the highest quality image of cinematic 4K video is captured while maintaining the original vision the director intended.

I edit, color-correct, add sound effects, license music, and provide you with a polished video for uploading or broadcast. I edit on an iMac editing machine with a full SSD hard-drive RAID system.

Since 2017, I have been a certified FAA commercial drone pilot . If you need aerial photography/cinematography, I can fly a drone, capture, and hand over the media at the end of flight. I can also be hired as a Pilot In Command, if you would prefer to be the person manipulating the controls of the drone but do not have the proper license to do so for your current project. I am experienced with the DJI Mavic and Phantom series drones.

Hands-on knowledge and training is key to unlocking the potential of your equipment and upgrading your skills. With my extensive knowledge and background in almost every aspect of the moving image, I can train you or your team the skills to become a production-capable powerhouse. I can teach you how to professionally operate a DSLR/Mirrorless camera, balance and operate stabilizer gimbals, fly a drone, record sound, edit in Adobe Premiere, and finish your films with professional color correction and compression.

guest lectures

I love to talk about the things that I am passionate about. I have given presentations and lectures in many venues regarding video production, lighting, and cinematography. These interactive lectures are jam-packed with information, visuals, hands-on demonstrations and plenty of time for Q&A. In spring of 2020, I was given the opportunity to be a guest lecturer at the University of Connecticut for a Digital Cinematography class focused on dramatic lighting.

Podcasting

Pat has been podcasting since 2011. To date, he has produced 3 podcast series and currently hosts a podcast with friend and past coworker Sami Jo Jensen called Kicking and Streaming . The weekly podcast was started in 2020, and pits Sami and Pat’s favorite TV shows against each-other : Buffy the Vampire Slayer and LOST.
